Rebecca’s recent work has included enforcement of adjudicators’ decisions, unpaid invoices, defects claims, damage to plant, subrogation and JCT insurance provisions, and the applicability of Claimants’ offers under CPR Part 36 to adjudication enforcement. She has assisted with a number of adjudications, complex arbitrations and matters proceeding in the TCC and Court of Appeal
Rebecca has considerable experience in civil litigation at small claims, fast track and multi track level. This includes trials, appeals to the Circuit Judge, case management, interim applications, and costs. Rebecca also has considerable drafting and advisory experience. Prior to joining Chambers, Rebecca spent three years working with two nationally recognised solicitors firms, giving her insight and experience of case management as well as advocacy.
Rebecca delivers presentations and seminars on construction related topics, including a recent case study based interactive presentation to the Adjudication Society – with hypothetical scenarios and possible approaches voted on electronically by the audience standing in the shoes of the Adjudicator.
In 2010 Rebecca successfully completed a number of CIArb training courses and assessments in adjudication, mediation and arbitration, and has been admitted as an Associate of the Chartered Institute. Rebecca is also a member of the specialist Bar Association TECBAR and in 2011 became a member of the TECBAR ADR Panel as a TECBAR Adjudicator.
