Background
Oliver grew up in Somerset and went to school in Taunton. During his time reading History at Lincoln College Oxford, he was awarded a scholarship to study abroad at Princeton University. After university, he worked as Parliamentary Assistant to Geoffrey Cox QC, MP, based in Bideford and at Westminster. This has provided him with a good understanding of how local and national government works, and a keen awareness of the concerns of businesses and organisations throughout the West Country. He joined St John’s Chambers in October 2010 upon the successful completion of his pupillage.

Oliver regularly acts on behalf of creditors and debtors (both companies and individuals).
Personal
Oliver’s interests include history, most sports (particularly athletics; he won a Half Blue in the hammer whilst at Oxford), country music and cooking. He lives in Exeter.
