Constructive use of business structures in Financial Remedy Proceedings

St John’s Chambers’ Family Finance Team, have the pleasure of inviting both solicitors and accountants to our ‘Constructive use of business structures in Financial Remedy Proceedings’ conference at the NOVOTEL, just a stone’s throw from Chambers.

This conference is intended to discuss cases in which one or both of the partners in a divorce own a business. It will deal with such issues as using dividends to pay maintenance, shareholders’ agreements and S.31 (7A to 7F) Matrimonial Causes Act 1973, and the eventual sharing of the sale of a business combined with cessation of maintenance.

Speakers from St John’s Chambers will include Christopher Sharp QC, Nick Miller and Charlie Newington-Bridges. We are also delighted to announce guest speakers; Simon Denton – Partner at Milsted Landon LLP; and, Liz Saunders and Peter Marrow – Partners at Tanners Solicitors LLP.

Delegates will receive high quality materials for future reference with the opportunity to network with fellow professionals on the day.
