Transparency Refresher: dos and don’ts and things every family lawyer needs to be aware of

This July, St John’s Chambers’ Family Team invite you to a free training session on transparency, with the opportunity to find out more about Lucy Reed’s recently published book ‘Transparency in the Family Courts – Publicity and Privacy in Practice’ (Bloomsbury).

The session is designed for all family lawyers, in particular those involved in children matters. Sarah Phillimore and Lucy Reed will give an overview of the key statutory provisions and procedure rules that together make up the ‘automatic restraints’, and the applicable guidance and procedure in this area. They will provide some practical pointers to help lawyers avoid common pitfalls as seen in case law and practice, and to gain confidence in dealing with transparency issues and queries as and when they arise.

Members of our Family Practice Group will be speaking on Transparency: dos and don’ts and things every family lawyer needs to be aware of;
