Julia specialises in Family Law and her practice encompasses all areas within it: Ancillary Relief, Cohabitants’ Property Rights; Inheritance Act Claims; Public Law Children Act matters; Domestic Violence and Harassment.
Her particular interests include:
Ancillary Relief and Cohabitants’ Disputes
Julia has a broad ancillary relief practice, including both small and larger asset cases. In addition, she has experience of Trusts of Land and Children Act Schedule 1 cases and Inheritance Act claims.
Care Proceedings
Julia appears chiefly for parents and local authorities; cases have included those involving issues of child neglect, non-accidental injuries and alcohol/drug dependence.
Private Law Children Act Proceedings
Julia handles a wide range of cases, including those involving issues of domestic violence and/or sexual abuse and cases relating to temporary or permanent leave to remove from the jurisdiction.
