Executors, Mental Capacity and How You Can Influence Future Legislation

Members of St John’s Chambers’ Commercial & Chancery Practice Group, Charles Auld, Alex Troup and Christopher Jones, delivered their talks before delegates at the Executors, Mental Capacity and How You Can Influence Future Legislation Seminar, on 8th February 2010 at the offices of Withy King in Bath.

Presented by St John’s Chambers along with Withy King and Mowbray Woodwards Solicitors, the seminar, chaired by Withy King’s very own Amanda Noyce, attracted more than 30 delegates including solicitors from, Osborne Clarke, Foot Anstey and other south west law firms .

The seminar featured talks concerning Beddoes Application and Mental Capacity, and provided an opportunity for practitioners to influence a change to the law. The aim of the seminar was for delegates to debate their thoughts and ideas with a panel of expert lawyers on the Law Commission Report on Intestacy and Family Provision Claims.

The event was a great success and highly positive feedback was received.

St John’s Chambers would like to thank Withy King for hosting this event and helping to make it an enjoyable day for all involved.
