Areas of Practice
Personal Injury
Whilst much of Glyn’s caseload is catastrophic and severe injury work, he continues to take multi-track work of interest, with particular expertise in all aspects of Employer’s Liability work (on which he has been lecturing the new Recorders course for the Judicial Studies Board for the last few years), psychiatric injury, pain disorders and causation disputes. He keeps a good balance to his practice and represents both Defendant and Claimant. Glyn is widely thought to be ‘head and shoulders above the rest’ Chambers UK.
Civil Fraud
Over the 20 years or so he has been in practice he has dealt with many cases of civil fraud in all its guises – fabricated fire and theft insurance claims, manufactured accidents (whether RTA or in the workplace), fraudulently obtained policies, malingering and exaggeration in personal injury claims and proceedings for civil contempt with regard to false statements of truth.

Recommendations
Chambers UK 2010
- For the 3rd consecutive year he has been classed as the only “Star Individual” for Western Circuit Personal Injury and is described as “one of the best juniors around”. A senior junior “with a considerable amount of expertise and flair,” he is highly thought of by local law firms, and is already “rapidly developing a national reputation particularly with insurers.”
Chambers UK 2009
- One of the leading juniors in the region. Glyn Edwards is widely thought to be ‘head and shoulders above the rest.’ As one client noted: ‘It’d be hard to find someone better in the West Country.’ He receives a wealth of positive recommendations as a ‘tough opponent’ who produces ‘high-calibre arguments.’ Edwards has ‘flair and polish,’ as well as a ‘calm manner and great sense of humour,’ according to observers. Dealing with both claimant and defendant work, he is often instructed by the UK’s largest insurers in relation to a combination of employers’ liability, brain and spinal injury work.
Legal 500 2009
- Legal 500 2009 – Glyn Edwards is ‘very good indeed, he has high standards and meets them every time‘.
Glyn was also on the Provincial Panel of Junior Counsel to the Crown from 2000 – 2008 until he stepped down.
