Background
Prior to being called to the Bar in 2000, Vanessa worked as a Senior Chartered Physiotherapist in the NHS and in private practice. During her ten years of clinical experience she specialised in the treatment of neurological conditions.
Areas of Law
Vanessa has experience of a range of Claimant and Defendant work in the field of personal injury. She is experienced in employers’ liability claims, road traffic matters, occupiers’ liability and highways accidents.

Vanessa has developed a busy clinical negligence practice, this being a field for which she has a particular enthusiasm. Cases in which she has acted have included the following:

- Obstetric and gynaecological cases
- Ophthalmic cases
- Dental negligence
- Orthopaedic surgery cases
- General practitioners’ negligence
Vanessa completed a Masters degree in Medical Law in 2005, gaining a distinction.
