Anna is Counsel of choice for one major insurer in fraud work and is regularly instructed by many others.  She acts for insurers in the full range of fraud claims for both RTA and Casualty including:

  • Ringed fraud (she is currently instructed in a number of ringed fraud matters, including several bus crashes & a series of suspected fraudulent occupiers’ liability claims)
  • Staged accidents
  • Semi staged/induced accidents
  • LSI/LVI
  • Exaggerated claims
  • Fraudulent casualty claims

Anna acts in all types of multi-track cases including:

  • Fatal accidents & high value injury claims
  • Employers’ liability, occupiers’ liability, highways and road traffic cases. including cases involving difficult liability issues (such as Hide v Steeplechase [2013] EWCA Civ 545) and complex expert evidence – whether that is accident reconstruction evidence or engineering evidence
  • Inquests including Article 2 inquests. She has experience of both jury and non jury inquests.
  • CICA and CRU hearings.

Anna has particular expertise in civil reforms having given numerous lectures on the same, and appears regularly in CCMCs and applications hearings arising out of the change to the civil regime.

Anna appeared in Hide v Steeplechase, the leading authority on the interpretation of Regulation 4 of PUWER.

She also lectures regularly on the impact of the Enterprise and Regulatory Reform Act 2013 on employers’ liability claims, a topic that is certain to become essential knowledge for all personal injury practitioners.

Practice Overview

Anna is a tenant at 12 Kings Bench Walk and an Associate Tenant at St John’s.

She acts for both Claimants and Defendants in most personal injury matters. Anna’s mainstream personal injury practice is centred around higher value claims and she is particularly experienced in dealing with claims where the Claimant has developed CRPS. A large proportion of her practice involves defending fraudulent personal injury claims, both in Casualty and Motor.

She has been recommended in the legal directories as being “very sharp” and “an excellent advocate.”

Anna has a wealth of experience in EL, PL and RTA claims. She is favoured by both Claimants and Defendants for her budgeting experience and ability to deliver a successful outcome at CCMCs.
