Dianne appears on behalf of Local Authorities, parents and Guardians in Public Law cases including those dealing with issues of adoption, NAI, sexual abuse, factitious illness and infant death. She has experience in abduction cases and Residence/Contact matters with an international dimension.

Dianne deals with the consequences of marriage breakdown, pre-nuptial settlements, divorce and the breakdown of cohabitation relationships. Cases frequently involve matters of financial and procedural complexity concerning substantial assets, trusts, companies and high net worth individuals. In addition, Dianne handles applications pursuant to Children Act 1989, Schedule 1 and with respect to professional negligence matters arising from financial settlements within matrimonial proceedings.

Dianne is a Family arbitrator with CIArb.

Practice Overview

Dianne is a specialist family practitioner. She has been with St John’s Chambers since 1992 and undertakes all aspects of Children Act work, family finance and cohabitation. International aspects of family law are a particular interest.

Dianne has given seminars on a number of topics including the following:

  • International aspects of Family Law
  • Armed Forces Pensions
  • Schedule 1, Children Act 1989 and the relationship with Child Support Act applications
  • Annual case law updates

Dianne enjoyed a successful career in teaching before achieving a First Class Honours Degree in Law in 1991 and accepting an invitation to join Chambers in October 1993. For the last 3 years, she has been Head of Chambers Pupilage Committee
