Natasha Dzameh was appointed to the Legal Services Panel for the British Virgin Islands in their most recent round of recruitment. Appointments are for a two year period with the possibility of extension. She is thought to be the only regional junior appointed.
The Government of the Virgin Islands operates through the Attorney General’s Chambers (“AGC”). The AGC’s work includes advising and representing the Government of the Virgin Islands in legal matters, responding to law reform needs due to national and international development and promoting the fair administration of justice.
Natasha is a commercial and chancery barrister and mediator who was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 2010. She has experience of offshore disputes, dealing with British Overseas Territories and is always keen to be involved in arbitrations. Natasha is often instructed as sole counsel in high value, multifaceted litigation against significantly more senior opponents in the High Court and is consistently ranked as a leading junior in Chambers UK and Legal 500. She accepts instructions on a wide range of commercial matters, wills, trusts and disputes over beneficial interests in property.
Natasha is described in the legal directories as:
“really tenacious and experienced, incredibly user-friendly and a really good team player”; someone who “has a great eye for detail” and “will go the extra mile for clients and instructing solicitors”; “very astute and quickly grasps the issues at hand. She is a strong advocate and a quick thinker. She provides considered and thorough advice”; “always thinks outside the box”; “incredibly well-prepared and knows her cases back to front. She is relatable and provides thorough advice to her clients. Her advocacy is strong, and she presents her arguments clearly and succinctly.”
