McKie v Swindon College:- an employers duty of care in provisions of information about former employees

When an ex-employer provides information to a third party about an ex-employee, that ex-employer owes a duty of care to the ex-employee regardless of whether or not the information is a formal reference. McKie v Swindon College [2011] EWHC 469 (QB). Matthew White reports on this case.
