Asha represented the prospective adoptive parents following an application under the Adoption and Children Act 2002 for an adoption order following the making by a Scottish court of a permanence order with authority for the child to be adopted. This case was heard prior to Munby P’s judgment in Re A, B, C, D, E and F (Children) [2017] EWHC 35 (Fam) when there was ambiguity in the law regarding the correct practice and procedure for these cases. Asha successfully advocated for a similar approach to that adopted by the President.
