Elaine has covered various legal disciplines in her career including commercial/residential property, debt recovery & insolvency, and employment (specialising in the DDA arena), but in February 2010 joined the clerking team for the Family Practice Group at St John’s as 1st Junior, primarily running diaries, billing private and legal aid work, client/practice development and marketing the team.

Since that time she has taken on the Team Leader responsibilities for the Children Law side of the Practice Group, getting involved in the strategic operation and marketing of the team, to include the organisation, promotion and delivery of their seminars.

In addition to family work, Elaine deals with the Health & Welfare side of the Court of Protection team and is always happy to assist with signposting and allocation of work in that specialism.

In her spare time she’s a Trustee Board Member and Deputy Manager for Festival Medical Services, a Charity that raises money for national and international charities by providing medical cover at various outdoor events.  She also undertakes various fundraising efforts for cancer research and hospice charities. Elaine’s hobbies include live music, watching live sports and outdoor pursuits.
