
Kate is building a broad practice as a specialist family law barrister, and accepts instructions in the following areas:
Kate appears on behalf of applicants and respondents at all stages of the financial remedies process.
Kate is regularly instructed in private children law cases, and has acted at FHDRAs, DRAs, fact-finding hearings, and contested final hearings. She has experience in handling cases involving allegations of domestic abuse, coercive and controlling behaviour, substance misuse, mental health issues, parental alienation, and children with additional needs.
Kate represents both applicants and respondents within Family Law Act 1996 applications for non-molestation and occupation orders.
Kate is a contributor to the Family Law Week website.
Whilst completing the BPTC, Kate volunteered at The Vine Child Contact Centre and supported contact sessions between children and non-resident parents. She also volunteered with Streetlaw, a pro bono project which delivers accessible, engaging workshops about a variety of legal issues to primary school children.
