Who Should Attend?

This joint seminar is aimed at solicitors and will writers who regularly deal with vulnerable people who wish to make wills.  Identifying and mitigating risk are key aspects of the legal professional’s tool kit.  But how does that work in practice, and what should we do when it all goes wrong?

Christopher Jones of St John’s Chambers, and Roman Kubiak of Hugh James will facilitate a practical and informative workshop on wills for vulnerable testators.

 Topics:

  • Drafting wills for the elderly or vulnerable
  • Bringing and defending claims for negligent drafting
  • Correcting mistakes

The seminar will begin with delegates divided into groups each to consider one of the three topics above, followed by an open discussion on the questions posed.

Legal Network is a law firm to law firm referral and support network, operated by Hugh James. Established in 2007, the network has assisted hundreds of law firms to retain their clients by offering expert legal advice in areas they do not practice in or are conflicted. In return they offer a share of their legal fees, a commitment not to poach the client and free legal seminars and webinars.
