Who Should Attend?

Barrister Matthew White will give a 20 minute live internet presentation on how to use the additional tables

The long-awaited 8th edition of the Ogden tables has just been released. They can be found here.

They come with a whole series of fabulously useful additional tables, which are only available online: they won’t be in Facts & Figures. Those additional tables take a little getting used to, but will revolutionise the way that multipliers are calculated. Dealing with multiplier splitting and interpolation is now a doddle if you know what you’re doing.

At 12 noon ON MONDAY 20/7/20, and again on TUESDAY 28/7/20, barrister Matthew White will give a 20 minute live internet presentation on how to use the additional tables. Watch this, and you will never again struggle with splitting multipliers or dealing with multipliers for claimants for whom trial does not happen to fall on their birthday.

You read that correctly: give this 20 minutes and you will be able to split multipliers into as many periods as you want and do interpolation for claimants between birthdays. You will have no trouble working out, for example, the multiplier for a claimant who is 20.75 at trial for loss that would be experienced between her age 50 and 63. It really is easy if you know how, and you can learn how in less than 20 minutes. We’ve given it a 20 minute slot to allow time for any Q&As.
