This week we’re celebrating Pro Bono Week which recognises and supports the voluntary contribution made by the legal profession across the UK in giving free legal help to those in need.
Our key pro bono achievements in 2025 include:
- Some of our barristers have been offering their time, skills and expertise to provide pro bono legal advice, drafting and representation to those who need it most.
- Christopher Sharp KC, Lucy Reed KC, Zoë Saunders, Sarah Phillimore, and Rachel Segal are recognised second edition of The Pro Bono Recognition List, which recognises solicitors, barristers, chartered legal executives and registered foreign/European lawyers both in private practice and in-house who provided pro bono legal assistance over the last year.
- Oliver Wooding acted on behalf of the three year old daughter (and her legal guardian) of Cher Maximen, who was tragically stabbed at the Notting Hill Carnival in 2024. Find out more here
- Our Family & Divorce team raised £650 for Advocate at their Divorce and Financial Remedy Conference in June
Check out all the events taking place this week to celebrate the incredible work pro bono lawyers do to advance access to justice here.
