Sarah maintains a busy court practice covering all areas of personal injury. She is experienced in dealing with a range of road traffic accident, Highways Act, employers’ liability, public liability and credit hire claims.
Sarah has a particular interest in the Animals Act, and she is rapidly developing her expertise in this field. Prior to studying law, Sarah studied animal behaviour and welfare which makes her well suited to this area.
Sarah is an experienced and tenacious trial advocate, acting for claimants and defendants. She is happy to accept work on a CFA basis. She is regularly instructed for Fast Track and Intermediate Track trials and has a strong grasp of the procedural and cost rules in these areas. She is extremely efficient at turning around written work such as pleadings and advices. Sarah is currently developing her Multi Track practice and is often instructed to attend CCMC hearings.
Sarah is also experienced in dealing with claims allocated to the Intermediate Track, including allocation and banding hearings, CMCs and trials. She is also adept at dealing with the costs rules associated with these claims.
In the field of clinical negligence, Sarah has a well-established paper-based practice encompassing the drafting of pleadings and the preparation of written advice. She is regularly instructed to attend conferences with lay clients, clinicians, and medical experts, and is able to provide clear and realistic guidance throughout all stages of a case.
Sarah combines exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage cases efficiently and effectively. She is known for her meticulous preparation. She employs a pragmatic approach to her work and is highly skilled at building and sustaining strong, trusted relationships with clients.
Sarah speaks at our annual seminars and contributes to our podcast channel. Sarah delivers bespoke training to her professional clients, which can be arranged through the clerking team. Recent talks have covered case law updates, Part 36 and fixed costs, and interim payments. Sarah is happy to tailor her training to your needs.
Notable cases include:
- Being led in a multi-million pound cases and drafting a Schedule of Loss, including complex future care needs.
- Acting for Claimant in Fast Track trial where fundamental dishonesty had been alleged.
- Acting for Defendant in defending Highways Act claim relying on s.58 Defence.
- Acting for multiple Claimants where res ipsa loquitur was successfully argued.
- Acting for Defendant in thorough fundamental dishonesty cross examination and submissions.
- Acting for Defendant in Intermediate track matter where liability was disputed.
Before starting her pupillage, Sarah spent three years as a paralegal at Tayntons Solicitors in the Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence department, gaining experience in both Fast Track and Multi Track cases. She managed matters from inception to resolution, developing a strong understanding of liability, quantum, case management, and the counsel–solicitor relationship.
In her spare time, Sarah enjoys keeping fit and she is running the Bristol 10k in May 2026 for the Spinal Injuries Association. Her fundraising page can be found here.
