Summary: On 15 February 2018, The Transparency Project began a dialogue about the use of language by professionals who work with children in our blog post: ‘Things children say – Disclosure, allegations and why language matters’. It was prompted by the NSPCC’s use of the term ‘disclosure’ in tweets and other material addressed to professionals working with children. We reflected upon whether there were better ways of talking about things children say about their experiences.
