St John’s Chambers would like to congratulate Vivien Croly and Kayleigh Bloomfield in successfully completing their specialist pupillages, and welcome them as full tenants.

Vivien (Call 2019) joins our well respected Family & Divorce team, after completing her pupillage under the supervision of Zoë Saunders. Vivien acts in all aspects of private family law. She is building a busy practice in financial remedies, being frequently instructed at all stages of the process. Vivien also regularly appears on behalf of applicants and respondents in all private children law matters and in applications brought under the Family Law Act 1996.

Prior to coming to the Bar, Vivien worked as a teacher in London and the South East. As Head of Department in both state and selective, independent schools, she learnt to make complex concepts compelling and understandable, and brings these skills to the Family Bar. Read more here.

Vivien has received excellent reviews and feedback throughout Pupillage. She is already building a loyal following of instructing solicitors, impressed by the quality of her advocacy and client care skills, and is a welcome addition to our highly rated Family & Divorce team. We would like to wish her all the best in what is sure to be a successful career at the Bar.”

Kayleigh (Call 2021) joins our Commercial & Chancery team and is accepting instructions in all main areas of this practice group. Kayleigh’s pupil supervisors were Charlie Newington-Bridges and Christopher Jones. Kayleigh frequently appears in trials, to include small claims and fast-track matters covering all areas of commercial and chancery law such as contract, construction, and boundary disputes. She has also recently been instructed as English Counsel alongside Alex Troup in respect of offshore contentious probate litigation.

Prior to starting pupillage, Kayleigh worked for a legal expenses insurer advising on the prospects of success of their insured’s claims and also for a commercial law firm in Cardiff, where she worked closely with a Partner on a high-value, complex civil fraud matter. Read more here.

I’m delighted that Kayleigh has joined chambers as a full tenant, following the successful completion of her pupillage. She has already developed a busy practice and her arrival will only add further strength to our existing commercial and chancery team.”
