Georgina joined Chambers as a tenant in October 2023 following the successful completion of her specialist family pupillage under the supervision of Zoë Saunders.

During pupillage, Georgina observed a number of high-value claims for financial relief, involving complicated financial structures, pre-acquired or inherited assets and trusts and multiple jurisdictions, as well as a wide range of private children law work and cohabitation disputes involving ToLATA. Georgina gained experience assisting on cases in the High Court and the Court of Appeal.

Georgina acts in all aspects of family finance proceedings, including matrimonial finance, enforcement, applications pursuant to TOLATA 1996, and applications under Schedule 1 of the Children Act 1989. Georgina has experience in dealing with cases which include non-disclosure of marital assets, setting aside transactions intended to prevent financial relief and reporting restriction orders for high profile clients within financial proceedings.

Georgina further acts on behalf of all parties in private children disputes, ranging from contact, education, relocation and residence. She has experience in handling cases involving allegations of domestic abuse, coercive and controlling behaviour, substance misuse, mental health issues, parental alienation and intractable contact disputes. Georgina also acts for both applicants and respondents within Family Law Act 1996 applications for non-molestation and occupation orders.

She has recently been praised by clients for her extremely thorough preparation and forward thinking.

Prior to joining Chambers, Georgina worked at a leading London law firm in Mayfair, specialising in financial remedies and private children law for ultra-high net worth clients. The cases which Georgina assisted with often had an international element, concerned pre-nuptial agreements or had substantial asset Part III claims.

Before deciding to pursue a career at the Bar, Georgina was a professional dressage rider, a member of the Junior/Young Rider Great Britain Dressage Squads and was selected for the British Equestrian Federation Talent Squad.

Client Quotes

Georgina is an excellent advocate. She really goes the extra mile for her clients and instructing solicitors, not only with her in-depth understanding of the law and keen attitude to find solutions, but also in her ability to adapt to the situation before her. She is calm and reassuring with clients, and a fierce opponent in court. I cannot recommend her services highly enough.”

Zhenja Cann, Associate – Family Team, Thrings

Georgina’s preparation was extremely thorough and evidenced clearly her detailed consideration of the issues and grasp of the situation.  She is forward thinking. Georgina was clear in her advice to the client and attentive to her needs, ensuring her understanding of the hearing and process.  Georgina’s communication was great and ensured I was fully up to date on the position. I would definitely recommend.”

Natalie Kemp, Senior Associate, Goughs Solicitors

I was thoroughly impressed with Georgina. She was extremely on top of things, very efficient in her drafting of documents and responding to any queries I had. I was on annual leave when the hearing took place so my colleague attended the hearing on my behalf. On my return Georgina had sent me a very helpful note outlining exactly what happened in the hearing and what next steps I needed to do which made things a great deal easier for me. I would 100% use Georgina again and would have no hesitation in recommending her to others.”

Victoria Tallis, Solicitor, Thrings

The amount of time and energy Georgina put into knowing every single detail of my case was amazing. Without her, especially in the FDR I’m not sure we’d have managed to get such a good outcome. I felt really in the loop, well represented and confident she could negotiate on my behalf in the knowledge she understood my position completely. She was incredibly professional throughout the process and I believe she got us that result at the FDR.”
