Rob is now entering his 4th decade as a clerk. Having started his career in the Temple, he moved to St John’s in 2005. He is responsible for the operational and strategic development of the Commercial and Chancery Practice Group as well as marketing, business development and the overall smooth running of the team, ensuring clients are provided with a first class service. He is assisted by a first class clerking team, which includes Paul Bennett, Elizabeth Champion and Simon Lyons.
Luke has extensive clerking experience and deals with all aspects of St John’s Chambers’ family law work including building and managing client relationships, clerking all barristers within the Family & Divorce team, negotiation of fees and management of the clerking team.
Annette is the longest-serving member of staff, having been with Chambers for over 22 years. For the first 12 years with chambers she was the Senior Criminal Clerk and, since 2007, she has been Practice Manger for the Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence teams. She also retains responsibility for the management of the Regulatory Crime practice. Clients appreciate her professionalism and approachable and friendly manner.
Elizabeth is a clerk for the Commercial & Chancery Practice Group and has specific responsibility for the Public & Administrative Practice Group.
Elaine has covered various disciplines in her career including commercial/residential property, debt recovery & insolvency, employment (specialising in the DDA arena) but in February 2010 joined the clerking team for the Family Practice Group at St John’s, running diaries, billing private and legal aid work, client/practice development and marketing the team.
Simon is a clerk for our Commercial & Chancery Practice Group and has specific responsibility for the commercial team. He started his clerking career in 2005 for a common law set of Chambers in Middle Temple. Simon has built up a reputation for being a very knowledgeable and approachable clerk, and always willing to go the extra mile.
Adam joined St John’s in 2007 and as First Junior to the Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence teams is responsible for the day to day smooth running of the diary, liaising with clients and the negotiation of fees for all members of the team.
Lee joined St John’s Chambers in 2015. Prior to this Lee worked in credit control for over 15 years, covering insurance, media at a top 50 law firm in Bristol. At St John’s, Lee is in regular contact with solicitors to ensure that there are no queries or problems with regard to counsels fees.
