St John’s Chambers is delighted to announce that five new pupils have commenced their specialist pupillages within our leading Family & Divorce, Clinical Negligence & Personal Injury, and Commercial & Chancery teams.
Samuel Page and Hannah Sinclair are pupils within our highly ranked Chancery & Commercial Practice Group, under the supervision of Annie Sampson and James Pearce-Smith.
Before beginning pupillage, Samuel worked as a Paralegal for a property developer in Sheffield where he gained an interest in real estate law, residential property and boundary disputes. He then worked for two and a half years as a County Court Advocate, appearing in court on a daily basis and conducting a wide variety of hearings such as possession claims, interim applications, and small claims trials. Find out more here.
I’m looking forward to covering as much as possible of the varied, interesting and complex work undertaken by members of chambers in the Chancery & Commercial team, as well as the exciting prospect of doing work in my own name in second six.”
Samuel Page
Prior to commencing pupillage, Hannah was a Commercial Dispute Resolution Paralegal at DAC Beachcroft LLP, where she supported teams handling a wide range of commercial and business crime disputes. Her work encompassed a broad range of matters including FCA investigations, cybercrime, and complex planning disputes, acting both for and against local authorities. Find out more here.
I’m most excited about the opportunity to work alongside and learn from barristers whose intellect and advocacy I greatly admire. During my mini pupillage at St John’s, I was inspired by the calibre of work and the collaborative environment. I look forward to deepening my understanding of Chancery and Commercial law and contributing meaningfully to the team.”
Hannah Sinclair
Dorcas Baah is a pupil within our leading Personal Injury & Clinical Negligence Practice Group, under the supervision of Julian Horne.
Dorcas brings a wealth of legal experience to Chambers. Before starting pupillage, she worked as a Legal Assistant at the Law Society of England and Wales, as an in-house Paralegal for a professional representative body in connection with the COVID-19 Inquiry, and completed an internship at the UK Supreme Court. Most recently, she served as a Judicial Assistant at the High Court. Find out more here.
I’m particularly looking forward to learning from my supervisors, developing my advocacy skills, and getting on my feet in second six.”

Chloe Wilson and Annabel Lacey are pupils within our award-winning Family & Divorce Practice Group, working under the supervision of Zoe Saunders and Julia Belyavin.
Throughout her time on the Bar Course, Chloe continued her work as a Graduate Advisor, primarily assisting in family law matters with a particular focus on private child arrangement disputes. Prior to commencing the Bar Course, and alongside her pro bono commitments, Chloe gained valuable insight into court processes through her role in legal administration at Bristol Magistrates’ Courts. Find out more here.
What I am looking forward to most in starting pupillage is the opportunity to learn from leading professionals within Chambers, receiving supervision from practitioners in the Family team, and developing a practice of my own within such a highly regarded and sought-after set.”
Chloe Wilson
Before commencing pupillage, Annabel enjoyed a long and successful career in education. She taught across all primary age groups, from Nursery to Year 6, and most recently taught A Level Law. She has considerable experience supporting children with special educational needs, having served as SENCO in more than one primary school. She also held the position of Deputy Head in a large primary school, a role which involved extensive safeguarding responsibilities. Find out more here.
I’m most looking forward to the first time I have to stand before a judge and make submissions on behalf of a client.”

St John’s Chambers is proud to welcome these five talented individuals and looks forward to supporting them as they begin their careers at the Bar.
