Chelsea is regularly instructed in complex cases involving issues of both fact and law. Chelsea appears in courts across the South West, with a strong foot hold in Somerset. Chelsea brings a compassionate and sensitive approach to her cases, whilst maintaining a keen eye for detail and meticulous case preparation.

Chelsea has delivered in-house training and has spoken at internal seminars and conferences. Chelsea regularly contributes to the our Family Law Podcast channel and has spearheaded the case law update series.

Prior to joining St John’s, Chelsea studied law at the University of Bristol and went straight on to study the BTC at BPP University. Whilst studying the BTC, Chelsea undertook pro bono work at the Legal Advice Clinic, the Litigant in Person Tribunal Service, and the StreetLaw Project. Subsequently, Chelsea worked as a Legal Advisor for Legal Expenses Insurance policyholders. In this role she provided early advice to those with family law disputes, with a view to resolving the dispute prior to issuing legal proceedings. Chelsea became Technical Lead of the team within a year of her time in the role.

    Outside of work, Chelsea enjoys playing women’s rugby and touch rugby. She is also a keen theatre-goer and regularly writes reviews for theatre shows across Bristol. Chelsea is passionate about getting involved in the community. She is a leader for her local Brownies unit and helps to run a large women’s network which focuses on connecting likeminded women through a wealth of activities, talks and clubs.
