Who Should Attend?

The Legal Training Consultancy are hosting a half day live online conference on the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975 in association with St John’s Chambers.

This legislation provides a mechanism for certain family members and dependents to claim for financial provision from a deceased person’s estate. The Act is intended to ensure that family members and dependents are not left without reasonable financial provision after the death of a loved one. However, it is important to note that the Act does not automatically entitle a claimant to a share of the estate, and each case will be considered on its own merits by the court.

This conference is designed to provide you with a comprehensive understanding of the Inheritance Act and how it operates. Through practical examples our speakers will focus on the requirements for making a claim under the Act, as well as the factors that the court will consider in determining whether to make an award.

You will also gain insight into the different types of claims that can be made under the Act, including claims for reasonable financial provision, claims by cohabitants, and claims for maintenance.

This is a half day online conference and will be streamed live, direct to your desktop, tablet or phone, wherever you are in the world. You can either watch the conference live, or recorded after the event. In each case you will receive a free video recording of the complete conference. The price for this is £249 + VAT. This is a per organisation price, so up to 20 of your colleagues can participate at no extra charge, even if they are viewing it from a different location or at a different time. So, of course, if there are 11 of you the cost per delegate would be just £22.64

Firms with four or less partners can purchase a single place at the conference for £99 + VAT

To book a place on the conference please click on the box at the top right. If you don’t know all the names of your delegates, you can still book for those you know and add additional free delegates at a later date. All free delegates need to be registered in order to receive joining instructions.
