Oliver is a qualified civil and commercial mediator, and represents interested parties in various forms of alternative dispute resolution in matters across his areas of specialism. Oliver has a great deal of experience in the successful resolution of disputes through ADR and is keen to encourage and promote its use in appropriate circumstances. In particular, he has been involved in shuttle mediations, Judge-led early neutral evaluation and private FDRs, and accepts instructions to mediate in ToLATA disputes.

Notably, Oliver successfully represented the applicant in the first ever private arbitration of a litigated dispute under the Children Act 1989 (in that case, a disagreement over the relocation of children outside the jurisdiction) thought to have taken place in the South West of England.
