Who Should Attend?
St John’s Chambers Personal Injury team, and sponsors, Renvilles Costs Lawyers are excited to be hosting this half-day personal injury seminar as a face-to-face event at a fantastic venue in the centre of Bristol. You will get the chance to stay for lunch, and to network with our barristers and clerks after a very exciting line-up of speakers.
The morning will cover a broad variety of current issues in the field of personal injury, tailored to suit practitioners of 5 years PQE and above, including practitioners who regularly have conduct of complex, high-value claims.
Head of our Personal Injury team, Rachel Russell will start the day by looking at quantum issues in high-value claims, followed by Matthew White presenting a slimmed down version of his very popular pension loss talk. Darren Lewis, Julian Horne and James Marwick will take a look at fundamental dishonesty and surveillance evidence. Newest member of the team, Louise Asprey, and Rachel Segal will consider if there is anything you can do if you’re ultimately unhappy with your chosen expert.
Marcus Coates-Walker will present a talk on inquests which will explore the issues faced in preparing for an inquest and the difficult areas that need tackling at the hearing itself.
The day will conclude with a mock CCMC which will provide an insight into how judges approach various issues that arise. Justin Valentine will be our guest judge, with Jimmy Barber and James Hughes acting as counsel for the parties.
