Our Wills & Trusts team are delighted to invite you to their annual contentious probate conference

The seminar aims to bring practitioners up to speed with all the latest developments in the world of contentious probate.

It is principally targeted at solicitors who are (or would like to be) involved in contentious probate work, but it would also be of interest to non-contentious lawyers, will writing firms and professional executors.

The conference will be chaired by Jody Atkinson and will conclude with an interactive session led by Alex Troup KC.

Topics include:

  • Making the most of the Non-Contentious Probate Rules 1987, Daniel Soar
  • Deeds of Variation: understanding their status and enforcement, Jack Pankhurst
  • Case update on executor/trustee removal, Georgina Thompson
  • What to do when it appears a party may lack the mental capacity required to conduct litigation and other related issues, John Dickinson
  • Trustee Proceedings and Joinder, Oliver Wooding
  • The ordering and use of DNA evidence in inheritance disputes and kin inquiries, Michael Clarke
  • Electronic Signatures and Informal Dealings with Land, Christopher Jones
